We established Lighthouse Training & Consultancies in 2002 to provide a range of training in sailing, from competent crew to advanced coastal sailing.  Noticing the dearth of reliable information on sailing-related matters, we also compiled information and data to share with both local and visiting sailors.    

In this website, you’ll find information organized around the following themes:

* Weather and tides (local and regional) 
* Directory of shops to get your boating supplies at reasonable prices.  You may find this useful, particularly when materials for  repair or upgrade are not often found in the usual shopping districts.
* Booklist for pilot books for the region (and where to get them)
* Tips on some nice anchorages and some tricky approaches in the region, waypoints included.
* Links to government agencies, which you are likely to encounter for port clearance, immigration procedures and other vital information.

Having owned 6 boats over the last 30 years, and bought a new Catalina recently, we are also sharing our experience on the selection of this sailing boat, and tips on boat maintenance and repair.  If you want advice in these or want to have  an independent opinion, feel free to contact us.

If you would like to enjoy sailing your boat in Tioman, Langkawi or Phuket but do not have the time to bring her there, we can deliver her to the destination so that you could have maximum time to enjoy the beautiful waters in these regions.
